Joan and Jennifer established HISTORICAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATES in 1984 after completing Honours Degrees in History and Politics.
During our time as undergraduates we discovered a common desire to establish
our own business based on a shared positive attitude to job satisfaction.
We decided we should utilise our research skills to provide a professional research
service to those overseas wishing to trace their family history.
Our interests are varied - since 1984 we have published a series of articles relating to the Architectural Heritage and conservation of the City of Belfast . Other publications ,which involved extensive research, related to the socio-economic history of a local area.
Joan and Jennifer are founder members of the Association of Ulster Genealogists and Record Agents – a professional body which aims to maintain good research standards.
